You may know Danni as a "Southern Charm" beauty but creating beauty is what this lady is really all about. It is what we all strive for - finding our true passion and is using it to help ourselves and the world- sometimes it takes some stepping stones to get there. Well, sweet Danni has done just that.
She graduated in 2006 with a B.A. Major, Studio Art Minor from UNCW. She found herself taking taking art classes during summer semesters which allowed her longer blocks of class time (3-4 hrs long per art class), "allowing me enough time to shut off my left side of the brain and switch it to my “right” (the creative side. I call it getting in my “R-mode”)."
After college, she stayed in Wilmington NC for another 4 yrs and was in the pharmaceutical industry. Later she made the leap to move to Charleston when she was 25 to live on the coast and be closer to her parents on Kiawah.
"Up until 4 years ago, I was in the “wine and spirits” industry where I obtained an extensive wine background and was a coastal Area Manager, with a team of 10-15 wine reps who called on the majority of all CHS and Hilton Head restaurants. I left “corporate world” to concentrate solely on doing what I love, which is my artwork. I started DB Designs, where I sell my prints and do custom art commissions by request via my website, DanniBairdDesigns.com ."

"I mostly use mixed media pieces consisting of both acrylic and watercolor, just depending on the texture and subject matter aesthetic. Botanical, coastal, and animal subject matter are what what I do mostly, but typically its whatever inspires me or the aesthetic the client wants. I actually enhance each individual print on my website with additional artistic detail post-print, so that each one is a bit customized and more individualized. I enjoy being able to provide prints because they provide a more affordable option, while still maintaining some customized, artistic integrity. Not everyone wants to necessarily invest in a custom piece. I get gratification being able to contribute my own sense of beauty and serenity to a perfect strangers home. It’s what I live for."
Danni also does custom pet portrait commissions, being a lifetime dog owner- so she gets it;) There are details about those on her website as well.
"There is also that silly show on Bravo that I tripped into... All I can say is, it has certainly helped me be able to sell my artwork, so for that, I am thankful."
The end.
